The position is responsible for providing the vision and leadership to meet the organization’s short and long term goals and objectives and assist in the development and growth of the business which focuses primarily on the Federal Government Market Sector. The position is responsible for the management of the company’s marketing, capture and proposal management which include developing strategic account plans. Work closely with senior management to develop company business plan, key target opportunities, and marketing plans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties will be assigned and the duties listed may change in the future:
Identify, qualify and advocate for the pursuit of opportunities aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
Capture business opportunities in alignment with the strategic initiatives in Federal Sector.
Manage proposal process and ensure compliance with customer and internal requirements.
Review/gain approval on agreements which include Letters of Interest, Teaming Agreements and other documents.
Work with senior leadership team to develop and support the company’s goals and objectives.
Provides ideas to the company’s senior management which help define strategies for future growth.
Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key decision makers in the target markets.
Position the company for bidding which includes identifying, qualifying and pursuing opportunities,
developing customer relationships and conducting competitive analysis.
Create and maintain an opportunity pipeline which includes working with the field operations leadership to expand and to retain current contracts.
Manage all marketing, public relations program and company website.
Manage all proposal development and production.
This position will have supervisory responsibility as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management or related field desired with a minimum of 3 years of Business Development functional experience related to Federal Government sector or 5 to 7 years of Business Development functional experience related to Federal Government sector. The successful applicant must demonstrate a track record to obtain major Federal contracts. Security clearance may be required. The position must be proficient with Microsoft Office and general office equipment.
Highly effective communicator to all levels within the company and with customers this includes the ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, senior management and staff members. Must have the proven ability to write proposals, reports and business correspondence. Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management, groups of managers, customers, state and federal agencies and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draws valid conclusions. Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Must have strong strategic and analytical skills and sound business judgment.
