The position is responsible for assisting the Assistant Project Manager in all facilities operations and maintenance support at Fort Gordon. Coordinates and tracks work on Individual Job Orders (IJO). Compiles and produces daily, weekly, monthly, reports and other presentations required by the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Assists in the daily operations of the shops’ personnel and scheduling daily tasks.
• Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors, and evaluates performance of employees; ensures their ability to safely operate equipment.
• Counsels, records, and disciplines as necessary.
• Maintain structure to accomplish the work in a safe, effective manner.
• Utilize best judgment to accomplish tasks.
• Evaluate work-flow procedures and recommend improvements.
• Analyze existing procedures and recommend new procedures as necessary to increase efficiency and production.
• Maintains spreadsheet showing status of IJO’s to include labor, dollars, material, progress, etc.
• Performs construction estimates for maintenance repair and construction.
• Analyzes and write contract modifications.
• Maintains contract documents.
• Coordinates, monitors, tracks and maintains records on subcontractors.
• Performs contract cost analysis.
• Writes reports on IJO’s and contracted work.
• Utilize a computer and a variety of programs.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field; with a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a supervisor of personnel in similar trades and at least 15 subordinates and one year (1) working with contracting. Must be able to obtain security clearance for use of government computer. A valid Georgia Driver’s License and ability to maintain military gate pass access are required. Covid vaccination (fully vaccinated) required.

Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, managers and staff members.
