SUMMARY
The Engineering Tech III (Project Coordinator) provides planning and estimating for all phases of construction/renovation/maintenance projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Reports directly to the Level II Manager
- Planning and estimating includes budgeting, scope of work, coordination of workers, material, vendors/subcontractors and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is on schedule, within budget and in accordance with established safety guidelines.
- All other duties as assigned by supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a minimum of three years’ related experience or formal vocational/technical training in construction, maintenance, business administrator, mechanical or electrical systems engineering or related discipline.
Must be customer-focused and dedicated to meeting customer expectations and requirements.
Must be adept at planning, negotiating, developing schedules as well as anticipating and adjusting to issues and/or roadblocks.
Must be results driven, bottom-line oriented and constantly seeking efficiency/productivity improvement.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license, pass a background and drug screening, and obtain and maintain gate access to a military facility.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a four year accredited college or university. Four years of related work experience may be substituted for the education/degree requirement.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, managers and staff members.
