ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: 

  • Supervises Custodial Staff and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
  • Responsibilities include training employees
  • Plans, assigns, and directs work
  • Appraises work performance and completes quality control inspections
  • Addresses complaints and resolves problems
  • Must be able to work all shifts; this position will have a later work start time to allow for oversight and supervisor of night custodial duties.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises custodial employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.  As part of the Management Team, may be assigned to assist with other operational tasks and oversight.

Minimum Qualifications

  • S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Q clearance
  • Must have experience working in DOE facilities.
  • Valid driver’s license.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  

Two to four years related experience and/or training.  Must have proficient computer skills and able to use Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Language Skills                                             

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general operational communications and procedures. Ability to write incident reports, business correspondence, and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills                                       

 Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability                                          

 Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills                                             

 To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software, Word Processing software, and general knowledge of time recording systems and software.
